Valence Industries on Tuesday appointed Robert Mencel as its Chief Operating Officer, replacing David Salari.
Before joining the Australian-based graphite producer, Robert Mencel held the role of CEO at Ironclad Mining, the ASX-listed iron ore exploration company.
Graham Spurling, Chairman of Valence, said: “We are delighted to have secured the services of a very senior and experienced industry professional.
Mencel is a mining engineer and has over 25 years experience in the steel and mining industry.
He has experience developing and operating a wide range of engineering, mining and mineral processing operations including for Mt Gibson Iron, WMC, Normandy and North Flinders Mines.
Spurling added: “Having an engineer as part of the executive leadership team with Rob Mencel’s experience and expertise in managing resource businesses for over two decades will be invaluable to Valence Industries.”
