Saint Jean Carbon receives grant from NSERC for graphene research

Saint Jean Carbon announced on Thursday it had received a research grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada for its graphene research.

The company said the grant will cover the cost of its research and development work that is taking place at the University of Waterloo.

The firm has two graphene-related research projects: creating superconducting room temperature graphene and using a sonicating method to produce mass quantities of graphene.

Saint Jean Carbon expanded into the graphene market in April 2015 when it signed a letter of intent with the Spanish firm, Graphenea.
