Alabama Graphite, the flake graphite exploration company, has commenced a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) into its wholly owned Coosa graphite project in Alabama. Two months ago, the company found naturally occurring graphene at the site.
The company said the PEA will include an economic analysis of the viability of the Coosa Graphite site, including estimates of the potential value and operating costs of the project. The PEA is expected to be published in the fourth quarter of 2015.
The PEA contract was awarded to AGP, the Canadian-based mining consultants.
Alabama Graphite recently discovered naturally occurring graphene at the Coosa site.
Don Baxter, CEO of Alabama Graphite, said: “Alabama Graphite remains on schedule to publish the Company’s inaugural PEA on the Coosa Graphite Project in Q4 2015. The fall season is expected to be very exciting and rewarding. We anticipate the PEA will provide a positive framework of the merits of the Coosa Graphite Project.”
The company is listed on the TSX, OTCQX and Frankfurt exchanges.
